Dear Santa,

I've tried to be a pretty good kid this year, and while I'm not asking for gifts from anyone, I understand that some will be putting me on their lists (which I so very much appreciate!), and I thought I'd help out those who might be stuck for ideas. Here are some things that I've seen around the stores this year, that look really interesting.

As always, I would love to see donations to my favourite charities (Denver Dumb Friends League, Colorado Humane Society, MaxFund), since the puppies & kitties there can't all come live with me. ;)

Speaking of animals, there are a couple of accessories that my dog, Sya, would love to have. A new tent that has windows on the sides would let her be able to see whats going on, while still keeping out of the way. And a cover for the back seat of my car would sure help in keeping the fur in a space that can be cleaned up.

Aside from that, most of my wishes this year are in the outdoorsy area. Since the Cute Blonde Boy is interested in hiking/camping as well, this gives me a renewed interest in getting back into the mountains. I stumbled onto the wish list section of the REI site, and spent some time window shopping. That list might give you some ideas.

I also set up a wish list at Target.com, but I don't have much in that list at the moment.

Here's a quick wishlist of other stuff. Thanks, Santa, for everything you've given me in the past years -- it does not go unappreciated!

• Anything for the fireplace/firewood stack (like a cover for the firewood, a tub to keep a bit of it inside, a fireplace set, fire starters, long matches, etc)
• Travel stuff (a trip to France may be a possibility next summer, so things that would help me out on a canal barge in France would be great!)
• DVDs -- there are so many! A few that I can think of are:
